When to choose Activated Sludge Plants?

One of the problems we face when designing wetland solutions is the availability of a space to materialize the biofilter. If we want to make a proper wastewater treatment, an alternative we work with are prefabricated activated sludge plants, which achieve a proper wastewater treatment in a reduced surface.

These plants use anaerobic microorganisms to facilitate the dilution of solids and aerobic microorganisms, with oxygen injection through aerators, which in turn generate a recirculation of sludge, to achieve the survival of biologically active sludge capable of decomposing the organic matter present in the water.

A great advantage of these systems is their quick and easy installation, since they are prefabricated plants.

It is essential to understand that those responsible for achieving these purification levels in such a small space are a universe of microorganisms that we must keep alive.
That is why these technologies require more attention and maintenance, which is why maintenance staff should be trained or specialists should be called in for any problem.
