On October 21, at the Civil Engineering Final Project Chair, engineers German and Dino Raffo shared their experience abroad and their knowledge about sustainable solutions for wastewater treatment. 💧🌱
Our purpose is to reduce the environmental impact produced by human wastewater.
That water is treated correctly before being returned to the natural cycle.
To avoid returning it contaminated, thus impacting the cycle as a whole.
Se estima que el 93% de las aguas que utilizamos se devuelven contaminadas al ciclo natural.
Esto no solo significa la falta de consciencia del impacto sino una cantidad de agua que le podriamos estar dando un segundo uso con un correcto tratamiento.
We advise on choosing the solutions that best suit each particular project
Working at different scales, with different technologies
Nature-based solutions are our favorites, due to their simple operation, low construction and maintenance costs, always opting for them when the project conditions allow it.
We make small and medium scale artificial wetlands (Biofilters). And lagoon pre-treatment solutions (Lagoon Systems) with productive use of the effluent (forest/agricultural irrigation), on a large scale, generating economy, and a zero wastewater discharge impact.
In partnership with Think TIM, we provide prefabricated treatment plants that are quick and easy to install.
These plants treat wastewater through activated sludge. These systems are ideal for real estate projects with small spaces, due to their high treatment capacity in a small area.

The UNC Civil Engineer, Dino Raffo, presents his Thesis of Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Edile with courses at the School of Architecture, Castello del Valentino, at the Politecnico di Torino, in Italy.
Dino shares in his final thesis a complete analysis of the solutions for domestic wastewater treatment.
Shared here in Italian, English and Spanish.

From a problem of water pollution and financing for treatment works, to a productive use of treated effluents that can be financed by international organizations, impact investing funds.
